Tips for Coping
1. Get fresh air.

2. Allow the light in- wear a hat or sunscreen, but take in that sun.

3. Exercise.
*note: you can do all 3 by simply taking a walk!

4. Eat a proper diet. Many opinions, but only yours counts- if you are unsure of what is a healthy diet for you, consult a nutritionist.  I can certainly offer you suggestions as well.

5. Be social.  Studies have shown that people who live the longest, healthiest lives follow  most of these principles, and having an active social life ranks at the top.

6. Avoid hurrying.  The more time you give yourself, the less stressed you will feel.

7. And, of course, I advocate getting regular Acupuncture Treatments to help minimize the effects of stress on your life.
Stress
Most of us have it.  But who really needs it?

Finding ways to minimize stress is the first step.  Once you've made some lifestyle changes to reduce your overall stress levels, then  there are ways to  maintain  a healthy state of mind outside of yourself.  One such  method  of stress reduction  is  having regular acupuncture treatments.

Acupuncture works as a wonderfully effective way to help reduce your stress response and to maintain a feeling of well-being. My patients have experienced amazing results from even a few treatments.

Acupuncture treats Stress
One of the great things that those little needles achieve is a normal sense of flow within the body.  When stressed, our bodies have many ways of coping without our doing anything: tense muscles, agitiation, digestive issues, fatigue, headaches, joint pain.  And the worst part is that if unchecked, certain chronic illnesses arise as well.

Acupuncture is said to release endorphins, or at least the endorphin response, which makes us feel better.  Then, it releases our hold on stagnant energy.  If something is built up and stuck, then the flow is obstructed.  If the flow is obstructed, then equillibrium cannot be achieved.

Acupuncture is a natural release, and if you are experiencing an inordinate amount of stress in your life, I highly recommend it.  Because you don't want that little grumbling in your tummy to turn into something worse.  Release stress and get healthy!
